2026 Members’ Exhibition

From August 12 through 28, 2026, Collective Impressions presents recent work by members of Tiger Lily Press at The Annex Gallery. Organized as the press’s 2026 members’ exhibition, the show offers an opportunity to encounter the range of work currently emerging from one of Greater Cincinnati’s established printmaking communities.
Tiger Lily Press is a registered nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting printmaking throughout the region. Its Cincinnati studio provides members with access to specialized equipment and shared working spaces, while its broader program includes workshops, exhibitions, collaborative projects and public events. The organization describes itself as a supportive environment for artists at different stages of experience, bringing together technical instruction, independent studio practice and opportunities for exchange.
That communal structure gives Collective Impressions particular significance. The exhibition is more than a presentation of individual works. It reflects a studio culture in which knowledge is transmitted through practice, artists work in proximity to one another, and traditional processes remain open to experimentation. Tiger Lily Press currently offers instruction in processes that include etching, letterpress, linocut, monotype, screenprinting and Solarplate techniques, although the specific media represented by each artist in this exhibition have not yet been publicly detailed.
According to Tiger Lily Press, the annual members’ exhibition is intended to celebrate the breadth and creativity of its printmaking community. Participating members were permitted to submit as many as two works, with additional unframed work available for sale. The exhibition therefore provides both a focused view of current production and a broader encounter with the artists connected to the organization.
The artists listed for the exhibition are Jennifer Baldwin, Stephanie Berrie, Beth Brann, Shelley Creech, Joan Effertz, Maureen George, Leslie Hanna, April Huerta, Susan Irwin, Madison Longshore, Susan Mueller, Kathleen Piercefield, Emil Wiersma, Carole Winters, Mary Woodworth, Christina Zorn and Blanche Pringle Smith.
Collective Impressions will be on view at The Annex Gallery, 1310 Pendleton Street, Cincinnati, Ohio, from August 12 through August 28. The artists’ reception will take place on Saturday, August 15, from 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The exhibition concludes during Final Friday on August 28, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Tiger Lily Press’s official announcement confirms the Final Friday event, although it does not presently identify it specifically as an artist talk.

When we first came across Tim Harrier’s Shaman Spirit Guides, we dismissed them without mercy as the product of artificial intelligence. The mud-covered faces, the animals emerging from the background, and an unbroken frontal force produced, almost at once, a malignant suspicion. Suspicion ran far ahead of the work. And we are right to suspect almost everything in life. This series, no...
